I recently attended a meeting of the Salsa teachers, promoters and dancers in Leeds. And it got me thinking about why people dance – and two questions in particular:
Everyone who dances Salsa does it to have fun, but what does ‘having fun’ mean to different dancers?

Zumba is a dance fitness program, currently taking Leeds and the wider UK by storm. Zumba includes dance and aerobic elements, making it a great way to lose weight. Over the coming months more and more people will be flocking to the Zumba classes in Leeds, for choreography including hip-hop, salsa, samba and other Latin dances.full post
Salsa vs. Ceroc

I moved to Leeds a whole year ago now and thought learning to dance would be a good way to meet and make friends. I tried several salsa nights around Leeds centre but always find myself becoming disinterested after a month or so of going. I love dancing (as I used to do Ceroc) and couldn’t understand why I wasn’t enjoying Salsa.full post
